Miss Sherry
You are a reporter/novelist. You are just fresh at this, but because of your innocence, you tend to be trusted with more than most. Your most recent job is for a new tabloid, Psst Psst, though you hope to write full books about mysteries in the future. You are there to cover the large Women's Voter League meeting.
Ms. Amontillado is your main boss at the paper. She’s very wealthy with her oil wells, so she may not always want to be seen with you especially amongst other elite.
You’ll cover your story, but you’re also going to be interested in anything you can add to your book (the more real it is, the better).
You know a lot has been happening lately. There’s the big fire nearby with many found dead and now this scream, storm and letter. At least with the storm you’ve been able to spend more time with these characters.
Mr. J. Meister has yet to show and you’re looking forward to meeting this strange hero of sorts.
With so many characters here and with the strange mystery afoot, this is sure to make the front page. You don’t know where the scream came from as you were in your room, but you’re sure to find out.
You should meet with your boss occasionally to work together on some leads. You’re a reporter – you have “right of the free press” and can talk to anyone, just don’t make your boss look bad.
