Mr. Ale

You are a fly-boy pilot (one of the very first!).  You are well known for your feats in the air and you enjoy your popularity especially at the speakeasy.  You hope to secure funding for a landing field and construction yard from some wealthy folk in town and what better place to do it than at the Eaton?

More background

You are also attracted to the spotlight.  With the media presence for the debate and the speakeasy, this is the perfect place for you to spend you weekend.

You’ve been here before, but only recognize Porter Port and Mr. Adams, the bartender.

What has happened

Last Tuesday a large fire destroyed the neighboring Getto Building resulting in several dead (and they seem to be find more bodies each day since then).

That day you were up flying when you noticed the smoke.  You thought you’d fly closer to get a better look when a crosswind took you by surprise and you did a barrel right over downtown.  Unfortunately your plan wasn’t ready for such a move and a small piece of the engine fell out and hit the Eaton (which is probably what caused the small fire there that day).  Fortunately for you, no one seemed to notice you (and the fire, that is, as everyone notices you when you’re in the air!).  Heard later that it’s costing Mr. Silveroak $50K to fix it.

Wealthy folks you know to speak to:

Owner, Mr. Silveroak

Oil Baroness, Ms. Amontillado

Philanthropist, but possible mob connections, Mr. Galliano

Advice

Speak with those you came to speak to – for money and information.

You can brag all you want to get any amount of attention you want.

Later on, it might get you further in if you apologize for the accident though you don’t want the paper to know about that.
