Mr. & Mrs. Bordeaux

You are a newly-wed couple heading to Kansas City from Dallas.  Your train had to stop in Wichita because of the storm and you were taken to the Eaton Hotel for the night or two.  You're not well off, but live like you do anyway (thank you credit!).

What has happened

You jumped on the Excelsior train at Oklahoma city (connection from Dallas).  In your car were three others – Mr. & Mrs. Scotch, and Mr. Cabernet.  You noticed, the few times you weren’t being cute and cuddly, that Mrs. Scotch didn’t take well to the trip and looked very sickly.  The other three were all going to Kansas City for a livestock conference and spoke a lot about animals (including rabbits!).  Silly farm folk.  J

Due to a terrible storm your train was held up at Wichita and the 5 of you were all sent to the Eaton for the night (very good deal!).  You checked in Mr. Merlot (after you woke him up) and rested well into the day.

This afternoon after you heard a far away scream, you don’t know what or who it was, but you’re beginning to think this wasn’t such a good deal after all.

Advice

You get to just enjoy yourselves as newly-weds – live it up!  Keep your real background consistent – the beauty of “minor” roles is that you have more flexibility.

Probably want to chat with the few folks you’ve seen before – then go on the interesting characters.
