Mrs. Blanc

You are a proper, reserved, but friendly housewife.  You are here as an interested onlooker of the Women's Voter League.  It's the first time you've taken an interest in much of anything, and your husband was against it until he learned of its location.

More background

Your husband’s new job is working for the ZinDel Corporation as one of those fancy new insurance salesmen.  He sells all types is being well received by most everyone.   In fact, he recently made a big sale on fire insurance that he’s very excited about.

You quietly question your husband’s behavior when he’s out late at night working.  He seems devoted to you, but you can only stay at home for so long.  This is another reason why the WVL and other volunteer services seem appealing to you.

What has happened

Last Tuesday a large fire destroyed the neighboring Getto Building resulting in several dead (and they seem to be find more bodies each day since then).  A portion of the Eaton hotel was also damaged by fire the same night.

Last night you arrived late at the hotel and soon went to bed.  You woke up 3 hours later to find your husband just getting in for the evening.  Just like being at home.

This afternoon after you heard a far away scream, it was some time before your husband returned to the room to console you.  This is strange – and still no sign of Mr. Meister.

Advice

You need to get the facts from your hubby right away.  You’ve learned, especially with the WVL, that women deserve to be treated better.  Follow the path(s) this conversation hopefully creates.

Maybe get more through conversations with other volunteer leaders (Mrs. Schnaps, Mrs. Silveroak).
