Mr. & Mrs. Burgundy

Mrs. is a member of the Women's Voter League.  Your husband drove you to the hotel and looked forward to seeing some of the sights while you listened to the latest politic.

More background

You have been going to these WVL meetings for some time now and are friends with every other member.  Most of the time the husbands that come often have their own meeting of cards and other games on the side.

Neither of you are gun-ho about prohibition, and the Mrs. has been secretly wanting to just get out and “have fun” with the flappers and such, even though she knows Mrs. Schnaps would never approve. Why does being ladylike have to be so boring?

Several of the husbands did actually meet elsewhere, but Mr. Burgundy was convinced to stay nearby due to the storm.

What has happened

Not much except this storm!

Also, you have yet to see or hear from Mr. J. Meister – could his arrival on the Excelsior train be delayed from the storm or is he trying to be sneaky in making his appearance right before the debate?

You are very interested in what Meister has to say as some of his publications have been very convincing.

Advice

If you don’t get a debate, at least pick the minds of those here.  Speak to fellow members and compare stories.  Even without a major role, you’ll learn a lot.
