Porter Port
You are the bell hop/porter/misc staff member of the Eaton Hotel. You do a bit of everything depending on the need. More recently you’ve helped manage “public relations” – you help guide the appropriate guests to their room and/or the speakeasy you house nightly. You answer to Mr. Merlot – he runs the show though the owners, Mr. & Mrs. Silveroak, do spend a decent amount of time there. Merlot pays you pretty well so you’ve been content with your job.
The drinkmaster/chef is Mr. Adams. He’s always supplying Mr. Silveroak with new “juices” (yes, they are alcoholic) and he’s the main bartender for the speakeasy.
Mrs. Silveroak seems to be content with her bookmobile work.
Two maids you work with:
Miss Silveroak – the spoiled daughter of the owner, she knows of the speakeasy and takes advantage of it while usually having you and Miss Sauvignion (the other maid) do most of the housecleaning.
Last Tuesday a large fire destroyed the neighboring Getto Building resulting in several dead (and they seem to be find more bodies there each day since then). A portion of your hotel was also damaged by fire the same night. Mr. Silveroak has already made a public announcement of getting it fixed (costing $50K!) and two bricklayers (Mr. Vodka & Ms. Chianti) are already here to replace some of the damaged walls.
Thursday Detective Pinot-Noir checked in so your guard has been up.
Probably makes sense to meet with everyone you should already know.
Figuring out what that scream was this afternoon would also help (read the scene provided at the entrance). You do know that there are still several guests that are either stuck in the storm or are staying elsewhere so as to not have to traverse it.
