A very powerful man in the national government representing Nebraska. While you have plenty of your own funds (thanks to the railroad and all the land you acquired through it), the final ownership of Mr. White’s lands is of great importance to you. They are adjacent to yours and you have plans for developing the area further and creating your own "New White City" (named partially to win White over) designed your way as a way to compete with the spectacular Chicago World's Fair back in '93. It would be a grand way to get much needed tourism and money back to NE. You also have started a university nearby that you have left as part of your legacy and want to ensure the students in the country are not tainted by the many sinful things of the world. While few equal your success, people here are still voters and you find yourself listening and being thoughtful to most folks ideas though you are pretty set on how this area should develop.
*You really are*
Who everyone thinks you are. You actually thought ahead (this event looked somewhat suspicious) and brought in your own inspector so as to make sure everything worked out legit with Mr. White and his will. He’s Dr. Gilderoy G. Bivori, a renowned federal inspector from DC/New York area who jumped at the opportunity to visit the area. You've agreed to go with the story that he’s your personal doctor (named Roy G. Biv) and not tell anyone anything different (though your wife knows who he is). You're upset with Mr. White as he attained his land rather quickly after the death of its former owner, Mr. Rex. You didn't even have a chance before it was claimed by his lawyer. Since then, you've been very distrustful of Mr. White independent of the rumors of him being quite the womanizer and possibly breaking the Chinese Exclusion Act that bans the immigration of any Chinese. You also are familiar with the wealthy Onyx Baron/Baroness from Kansas City (their wealth is from the railroad).
*Last night you were*
Enjoying a nice relaxing evening with your wife. You were both awakened by a gun shot near the South Terrace in the middle of the night. You left your wife there to see what was the matter and you quickly met up with Grey, Steel, Burgundy, Mustard and Burt Sienna trying to figure out what happened. Deciding that everything was ok (no one saw anything, and there seemed to be no effect from the shot) everyone went back to bed. You're a little concerned that the doctor has not arrived yet, and you hope to see him soon as your concerns have been founded in truth.
*Advice*
It would be to your embarrassment if you were associated with the murder and you should remind the inspector that news/reports of the folks involved should remain private until the true culprit is discovered. Folks may try to use this event against you so you'll need to keep yourself protected. Also, where is the doctor? He could help in this situation. Maybe it's still possible to get this land (from Mrs. White or who else would be the true owner), though you'll need to be careful.
