Sheriff Copper

(Dan)

*You appear to be*

The local sheriff. You are a sturdy, but considerate man who has lived in the area for some time. The prosperity of the area has not meant that your job has gotten easier, just more complicated.

*You really are*

Who you appear to be. You weren't invited to the White's weekend retreat, but you knew about it. You swear nothing good ever happens in that place. The original owner, Mr. Rex, lost his wife then his son ran away before Mr. Rex died only five years ago. You remember it well - the cook, Chef Shamrock, found Mr. Rex's body in the kitchen. There was a decent amount of blood around the body, but the coroner said he died due to his heart stopping. The death was pronounced natural and since there were no survivors known (never heard from his son), White was able to purchase the estate and he did it rather quickly. It was soon after that he got married to Mrs. White, another strange one. Also, their grounds-keeper, Burt Sienna, you've never liked the look of. You've never thought the White's were trustworthy, but you know their wealth has kept them untouchable for some time. You'd love to figure out what really happened to Rex.

*Last night you were*

At home sleeping. The next morning you were up in your hansom travelling to a friends, when you came across a lovely lady walking by herself on the empty country road. You gave her a lift and found that she was going to the White estate. She told you that she was the daughter of Mr. White. She, Miss Peach, is a sweet woman who has travelled hundreds of miles from San Francisco, CA (via railroad) to see her father. Her mother was a prostitute in San Francisco when she met him and conceived Miss Peach. She received such a large payment by Mr. White to have her child there away from Omaha so she'd never bother him again or tell anyone about it. When she was old enough to be on her own, she decided to set out and meet her real father. You were quite sympathetic to her situation as you knew of Mr. White's reputation of being with the ladies. You decided to escort her there to make sure everything turned out ok. Besides, it was the perfect excuse to nail Mr. White on something. Neither of you were on any guest list, but with the current situation, none of the house staff dares to turn you away.

*Advice*

So there's been another death in this mansion, and again in the kitchen of all places. Probably good to find out what the cook really knows. You'd better let the inspector do his thing, but you can step forward if you ever think he's crossed his bounds or if someone is getting away with something. You're the law, and so anyone proven guilty, you can do with as you like, though finding the murderer will be your number one priority. You also may want to check up with Miss Peach as she can't be happy that she arrived after all these years just to have her father killed the night before. You know no one will turn themselves in to you, but maybe some will tell you about others to protect themselves. You also should treat Senator Cardinal with much respect, he could have your entire department fired if he wanted.
