(Dennis)
*You appear to be*
A butler for the White mansion. You have known Mr. White since you were a boy and have enjoyed working for him. He also has given you an appreciation for the finer things in life and you quickly learned the trade of being an excellent butler. (you can have fun making up the origin of your name - should have an umlout over the "o")
*You really are*
the butler! But you do have an interesting history. You found Mr. White and a very young (4) Miss Periwinkle trying to make their way around India (near Muttra) when you were just a boy (12). You were on your own as your family died in a fire that left you an orphan. You offered your services to guide them out of India in exchange for taking you along with them to America. White agreed and you slowly made your way to port where you travelled to Hong Kong. You stayed there for a couple months (Mr. White seemed to be very busy making business contacts and spending evenings with strange women). Then you sailed to the US on Captain Quicksilver's ship. You knew that Mr. White was very wealthy as you saw some very fancy jewels exchange hands with others along your trip. The three of you lived well for many years and Mr. White taught you both much - he even had a private tutor for you both. He kept you both close to him (he's protective) and was very pleased when you said you liked being his butler. 5 years ago you all moved into the current grand estate and mansion (where Chef Shamrock had been for many years before you and the groundskeeper Sienna was soon hired) and Mr. White soon married though you and Periwinkle had never seen the bride before (though he had a supply of women make his way discreetly there including the now Mrs. White). As far as the will goes, you hope that Mr. White plans on leaving you a large sum as he has been like a father to you and you have never erred for him (though, at the same time, you've never done anything else and are beginning to show signs of resenting your position and having to serve so many people "below" you). You also know that Quicksilver's business visits have been more frequent and you suspect he has more than a congenial interest in your "sis" Periwinkle.
*Last night you were*
Helping all of the new guests settle in to their rooms. You knew where most folks were until Mr. White excused you for the night as it seemed his poker game with Quicksilver, Green, Mustard, Burgundy, & Steel in the Study was to go on late into the evening. You slept very soundly until you were awakened in the morning by Chef Shamrock who showed you Mr. White's body in the kitchen (lying on stomach, stab wounds all over back). You immediately informed Mrs. White of the bad news. You and chef then moved the body to the billiard room, and cleaned the mess in kitchen. The grounds-keeper (Sienna) suggested bringing in Inspector Brown and to not alarm guests until he decides what to do.
*Advice*
You are saddened by the death, but not really surprised. You can think of your future, but now you've got guests that are counting on you to keep them content and not too riled up. Besides, you'd like to figure out who did the deed as you doubt anyone will be as gracious as Mr. White was to you. You also wouldn't mind finding out who what will happen to the White's fortune/estate - he had been generous with others in the past especially Lady Burgundy. Lastly, the butler is always a suspect so if questioning goes where you don't want to be, you can always pull the "I need to go buttle" card. :)
