Mrs. Peacock

(Jill)

*You appear to be*

A wealthy (inherited) naturalist who loves animals (especially birds) and plants (and you like wearing them, too, feathers and all :) ). You've also played a big part in forming the Arbor Day Foundation (you know Julius Sterling Morton, the founder) and are working to make it a holiday in nearby states as well as nationally. You're a bit eccentric as you prefer the company of animals to people, but you definitely like getting more support for you causes. You hope to have Mr. White put your causes in his will and are glad he invited you. You keeps you entertained sometimes. He's been going on about using some of your land in the north for growing soy beans and rice. You might support it as it would mean little development and more places for the beautiful birds to feed especially in the wetlands near the river.

*You really are*

Who you appear to be, isn't that enough. ;)

*Last night you were*

Socializing with the few folks who weren't exhausted from their journey to the mansion. You had an interesting conversation with Mrs. Plum, a local artist. You were asking her about painting birds in the wild like Audubon when she asked to paint your portrait in the nude. She said she could do it that night as a private session and that after doing it in the nude she could make it look like you were part bird and had feathers around your more "delicate" features (hey, not a bad idea for 1897!). You were mostly convinced and you agreed to meet her later that night, after your husbands had gone to sleep, in the Ball room. Unfortunately for you, your husband was quite restless, and it took some effort *wink wink* to wear him out enough so he'd sleep soundly. In only your robe, you went downstairs quickly through the hall, took a wrong turn (you were tired and it was dark) and ended up in the Conservatory. You decided to take a chance running across the Courtyard to the Ball Room, but you saw Mrs. White coming toward you from the Patio Area. She was carrying a rope with her. You went back in the Conservatory, and watched her move purposefully through the Courtyard toward the Hall when you lost sight of her. You then heard a gun shot from outside near the South Terrace, you hid down on the floor in panic and waited (how could so much be happening and how could you only be wearing a revealing robe?!). In time you actually fall asleep. You awake, realize your situation and carefully make your way back to your room. Guess you'll have to wait for another day for your personal portrait.

*Advice*

Probably a good idea to apologize and clear things up with Mrs. Plum. Maybe you can schedule it for another time or you may have lost your interest completely due to night's excitement. Good thing your husband was pretty worn out or he might have noticed you were gone (or did he?). Might want to be on his good side and try to figure out if he suspects anything. What was Mrs. White doing? This has got to be useful information to someone, but who to trust with it? Maybe Mrs. White can explain and/or be blackmailed with it?
