Miss Periwinkle

(Kim)

*You appear to be*

The friendly, single and attractive maid of the White estate. You enjoy working with the house staff and helping the Whites with things around the mansion. You have known Mr. White since you were a little girl and he showed you kindness and was like a father to you. You agreed to work at home with him until you were engaged. The only problem is he has yet to approve any man for you - guess Mr. White can be quite protective (and possessive?).

*You really are*

Who you appear to be. You do remember a few things from your childhood - you have dreams of living in a spacious, tropical area with a kind lady attending to you and sometimes playing with a kind, dressed-up man. You secretly think that these could be your parents when they were alive. They were killed at their home near Muttra, India by raiding savage rebels. It was Mr. White who found you hiding under your bed and who saved your life when you were only 4. Mr. White told you that your parents were house servants for a wealthy British family there in India, but that there were no other survivors found. He took you on a long trip through India (where an older boy named K. Crimson joined you) to Hong Kong and then made your way to the US on Captain Quicksilver's small ship (so it travels up the Missouri River without a problem). Mr. White took care of you the entire time and paid for your private education as you kept your keep by taking care of the house. 5 years ago you all moved into the current grand estate and mansion here in Omaha and Mr. White soon married though you and Crimson (butler) had never seen the bride before. While you are eternally grateful for Mr. White, you feel the need to get away and see the real world away from the shelter of the mansion. You love listening to Captain Quicksilver's stories from Asia and far away places (that you can barely remember being at). You dream of leaving with Quicksilver on a voyage around the world, but your obedience to Mr. White keeps you home.

*Last night you were*

Helping take care of many of the arriving guests. You spent a little time with Captain Quicksilver as it has been a few weeks since you saw him last. He then went to play poker with others and you went to take care of the guest rooms. You became acquainted with Miss Pearl, the herbalist from Asia, and chatted about Mr. White, life in the US and Asia. Later you decided to check to see if anyone was still awake and needed anything downstairs. You found Mr. White passed out in the Study where they had been playing poker. He had a mostly empty bottle of whisky next to him and he smelled drunk (it had been a stressful week for him). You didn't want to disturb any of the guests and so tried to drag his body upstairs to his room. You were in the kitchen when you heard a gunshot and someone coming from behind you - you were so shocked by both events that you dropped him and fled to the stairs near the Billiard room and went up to see Captain Quicksilver. You found Quicksilver alert and ran into his arms for safety and told him what happened. He told you to stay there as he went back down to check things out. He returned several minutes later looking out of breath and having some blood on his hand. He said he must have cut himself in the dark and quickly cleaned himself. After both of you calmed down some, he asked you to join him on his next voyage since it may not return for a long time. After seeing your distress/delight, he said, "Don't answer me now, sleep here tonight and you can decide tomorrow, my princess." Early the next morning you met up with the house staff as the cook announced the grave news of Mr. White's death. He had already been trying to clean up the blood from the kitchen. You all went along with the grounds-keeper to have him call in an inspector and have him handle the situation. Also, Father Black with extra concern asked that you look in on Miss Pearl. You found her with a heavy fever and you took care of her and revived her the next morning.

*Advice*

Whoa, what an evening! The man you love wants you to go away with him, but was it at the cost of killing Mr. White, your sole father figure? How could this have happened?! You want to go with him and now you have no reason to stay, but can you trust him? You still have duties as the maid of the house and so you should do them whenever you don't like where a conversation is taking you. Could you have hurt Mr. White when you dropped him? Did anyone see you move Mr. White? You took him the back way so no one else would see the state he was in. Your alibi of spending the night with Quicksilver could be quite scandalous so you may have to think carefully about what your stories will be.
