Main Story Revealed

Overarching brief story:
Cthulon is the name given to the large diamond of the treasure of Cthulon, but the name actually comes from Captain Huldon, a notorious pirate from the early 1700s who used the east coast of Africa and Madagascar as his home territory. He had robbed from the European (mostly British) ships sailing to and fro south Asia. When he retired, he got his crew to take his treasure deep into the jungles of Africa where he settled until his death a few years later. His body and giant diamond, the Cthulon, were kept together and became the base of a giant tree that kept the sanctuary. The crew that remained loyal to him stayed and made families with the local tribe. They have protected his treasure and resting ground for 200 years, and the local flora and animal life surprisingly thrived off of the foreign germs, insects and plants these pirates brought with them.
50 years ago when Sir Curtis, Captain Good and Alan Quatermaine came here, they also discovered some of the gems, but they also had great respect for the local guardians. Capt Good fell in love with one and took her to England where sadly, she became ill and died. Quatermaine warned the Cthulon guardians that more men like him would return, but few would be so understanding. He helped them keep back a small Zulu scouting troop as the appearance of expansionist colonies to the south was causing everyone to move further into the jungle. For his work and friendship, Quatermaine was given a necklace of immunity which would anyone who wore it free passage through the Cthulon jungle. He then passed this on to his son.
His son quickly rose up in the ranks of the British army, becoming Colonel Quatermaine. He spent much of his time in Africa and kept the British from entering the Cthulon grounds as long as he could. Now that the empire was determined to reap the land of its wealth for the impending war, Coln Quatermaine knew the Cthulons had little time left. When he learned that Curtis' granddaughter had strange financial backing to return to find the treasure, he volunteered to help her in order to investigate the group and to keep them from destroying the sanctuary.

Last night the group made a pact, mainly due to the pushing of Mrs. Moneyworth and Mr. Krücke, to award the Cthulon to the person who collected the most money's worth of gems in order to encourage a more active search as the supplies wore down. Also last night Panter & Idayimani had wild sex (Panter's goat-skinned condom was made useless by Opal-Newkirk earlier on).

Dr. Aquamarine found the Cthulon the previous night on a completely different path hidden deep inside the jungle's center tree in a secret underground tunnel with traps and puzzles and then in a last booby trapped grave with skeleton with an eyepatch, but because she hadn't found any other gemstones, she didn't reveal it as she didn't want to lose it. In fact, since no one else was there to see it, she plans to put it back where she found it and then lead the group to it so she could get the public recognition she has long deserved.

The group splits into two and Dr. A goes with Coln Q below. Soon after the split, Ms. Idayimani decides she needs to be closer to the treetops and leaves the floor group. At the first cave, MW leaves Ms. Curtis' high group to get some digging tools back at camp. At camp, Idayimani goes through Dr. A's belongings and steals the Cthulon, she hears MW approach and quickly hides, then stabs MW in the back (knife or claw). MW lashes back with her wrench and hits Idayimani in the leg creating a slight limp. Idayimani hurries as fast as she can back to group 1. She denies seeing MW, says she wants to be up high in the treetops, that the ground was too dangerous and doesn't know what the Coln Q was thinking.

A little later Dr. A also leaves the 2nd group to get the Cthulon, but finds it missing!

Mr. Ruby is busy trying to get Mrs. Ruby out in the open for the Mr. Small-Feet (who is staying back from the main group) to get a good shot with his blow dart and hurries her through any caves.

Mr. Panter slaps his neck and yells ow! Something just bit me! Dr. Jones shrieks and thinks he may have been bitten. Jones quickly says he needs to go check on the other group and runs away. Jones may or may not bump into Aquamarine back at camp, but he now returns to camp 1 by going backwards to meet them - says he found a short cut(!). Dr. A returns by going backwards on the ground path, too, and says it was a short cut(!). Miss Amber puts some ointment and a bandaid on the back of Panter's neck to help him out.

Mr. Emerild has been complaining of a stomach ache for a bit (though he's still eating the poisonous leaves from Sapphire and the fruit with mind-numbing seeds from Idayimani). Before Dr. A makes it back to the group, he runs forward along the path grabbing his gut yelling for folks to move out of the way, gotta go! He makes it back to near the camp, gets ready to do a #2 and explodes (exploding diarrhea?)! He later reappears as a bee spirit.

It's clear that something is afoot when a monkey MW appears. When everyone returns to camp, the guardians order everyone to go to the sanctuary before anyone else disappears.

Ensure that all 12 gem bags have been found. Be out of jungle by 7:30pm.

Soon after the Keeper Obsidian explains how all must stay in the sanctuary, Mr. Panter complains and then has his death scene and comes back as a lion spirit (dies from strange virus from Idayimani but may change to being shot by Mr. Small-Feet by accident and having delay in effect or killer bee ;-) ).

Final mystery questions:
Where is and/or who has the Cthulon?
Who killed each of the 3 characters? Explain.
Total gems accumulated:
(total value=?)

Party Props (not character-specific):
Cthulon (crystal skull or huge gem)
Small gemstones (use various colored glass stones and small bags - determine colors and value, give gemologist full value list, encourage deception and give true value or at least some equations (eg. 1 sapphire = 2xemerald) )
